why do Hunters have only trash exotic armor in TTK? Skyburners Annex for making more orbs against mobs and Sealed Ahamkara Grasps for a second smoke bomb..... that's it

  • The upgrade for young ahamkaras spine is amazing and graviton is brilliant if you're good with nightstalker.

  • Graviton is great, the grasps are -blam!-ing awesome, for everything. Don't know what the hell you're talking about.

  • Does it stack with Knife Juggler? Because if so, Gunslingers just got a lot better in PvP.

  • No, tops out at two whether you use skill or arms, same as warlock grenades :( does free up the perk for something else though.

  • I would say keen scout is better for pvp. I can see when someone is coming from behind a wall and already be shooting. Shadestep can dodge enemies in pve.

  • If you think either of those armor pieces are "trash", then you probably aren't a very good/creative Hunter.

  • Sealed ahamkaras are: 1. Awesome looking. Mother -blam!-ing claws! 2. Double smokes/double 5sec blink strike? Hell yes! 3. Look -blam!-ing awesome! Smoke is so damn useful, pretty funny watching a sunbreaker try to hit you when he cant see shit.

  • No.... it's not. Shade step only looks cool. It's not useful at all.

Shade step doesn't work like Dark Souls/BB games. You don't get a bunch of invincibility frames. That said, I love shade step. All tracking weapons simply float away when you do it. Nothing like completely removing the tracking rockets from the Cabal when you shade step & watch them all just fly into the air & never come down.

  • Shadestep is nothing like a dodge roll from any of the souls games. If you think it is then you either haven't played much souls, or haven't used the shadestep at all. If you had, you'd know that the major utility of the dodge roll in souls games (Or almost any ARPG that has a dodge roll) is in the small amount of I frames it offers, allowing you to essentially "pass through" certain attacks. The Shadestep does not have this same property. When you shadestep you're still completely vulnerable to incoming attacks, for the entire duration of the roll. Believe me, I spent a lot of time testing this. As a souls vet and a hunter main, I was VERY excited to have the ability dodge roll; And VERY disappointed when I realized it was nothing like I was expecting. The function it serves is increased mobility, and nothing more. Which I personally don't find all that useful, especially when compared to the other exotics/perk selections that you could use instead.

  • And yet my point still stands. Dodge is invaluable and you don't know what you are talking about.

  • I've completed everything in this game other than Hard Oryx and ToO (not huge on PvP but IB is fun) and never once has Shadestep given me an advantage nor has it given someone in PvP an advantage over me. I've been playing this game since day 1. I know what I am talking about. Nobody I play with and no raid group I've ever played with uses it in any situation.
