EDIT: To be fair, I really don't give a shit if you can get a fking year 2 Gally from doing ToO. I went to the Lighthouse before, I'll go again. Check my Titan for proof. I could switch the others over, but it's really not that important to me. I'm sure it bothers some of the l337 PvPers here that someone as shitty as me in the Crucible can go to the Lighthouse. I may have been carried, but so what? You think that it really matters in the grand scheme of things? Most of this was a post was the result of boredom and the inability to go to sleep. It was fun. There sure are some people here who could learn what it means to be able to have your own opinion. The ONLY thing that actually bothers me is that you will be able to buy ToO gear. That's it. I know there won't be any elemental primaries. Even though the ToO weapons were removed from the Armory, I can still view some of them and know very well that they are not elemental. And last but not least, those that go undefeated and reach the Lighthouse, congrats, you deserve your rewards.

I mean really. One of the main reasons people Raid is for the Adept primaries. Sure there's more to it than that, but it's not like you can get Raid tier weapons and Armor anywhere else, right!? Wrong. ToO will have armor and weapon drops up to 320. Oh, you say that's no big deal? Have you seen the Armory? They're also getting adept primaries.
Eff this. I'm pretty sure that if Bungie doesn't stop trying to force us to play the game how THEY want us to play it, coupled with the fact that they pander to the PVP community, they won't see year three.
Edit: one of my biggest issues is that you will be able to buy ToO gear. You cannot buy Raid gear, so why be able to buy ToO gear?
Also, please remember that Destiny started off as a wannabe MMORPG. Now it's focus has shifted to be more balanced between PvE and PvP. This cannot be. This game will implode if they continue to try and be CoD and WoW, at the same time.

5 RepliesI'm like 60% PVE as of right now and I'd say ToO is [b][u]THE[/u][/b] toughest thing this game has to offer. The overly skilled players that do trials are too much to handle sometimes. KF is easy once you get the grasp of it.

No they think: ToO = KF And i think the same, and no im not Some PvP only scrub i finished both Normal and Hard KF in 36h after their release and did them 3 times before reset, i just think getting To lighthouse requires more skill than Kings fall or atleast the same amount

With all due respect, I play PVE and PVP, I have a job a wife, two kids and a life. I don't have time to do the raid, and I don't really enjoy it like I did the others, it's just more bullet sponges with loads of incoming fire. PVP is a quick 30 minutes here and there, it easier to get 2 mates quickly than to get 5 together for a raid.

Adept and elemental primaries are two different things :) adept are equivalent to the harrowed version of weapons. Just because they were elemental in year 1 does not mean they are in year 2. The developers of destiny have said they're leaving elemental primaries behind.

Going flawless is 10x harder than hard KF. Salty about the elemental damage being taken away but happy if the gear is 310+

They want ToO to be the PvP raid equivalent. Doesn't make sense when you will have all have more raids than PvPers will have options in the future. Bungie doesn't like to think ahead too far.

At no point are you forced to play Pvp, there are people who don't like playing Pve at all... They paid the same price to play the game Bungie needs to give that type of player a chance at some good gear... If you don't like it then don't play it

2 RepliesHold on, I much prefer pvp, but because trials is levelled I've been forced into repetitive raid stuff, jumping on ships and killing some massive blokes kids. All in pursuit of gear to play fking pvp.

Edited by Erijian: 10/30/2015 5:54:50 AMThe Adept weapons don't have Elements this time around. The point of (Adept) weapons now is that they come with Last Resort, which is pretty nice to have for free in a mode like Elimination. Oh, also they're inverted color-wise which is cool.

Why do you even need 310-20 hear outside of a raid? I just wanna know why this bothers people. It's ridiculous really.

2 RepliesI'm willing to bet the gear is gonna drop at 310. Minimum light is 290 just like normal mode KF and that dropped up to 310. This is the PvP equivalent.
