For real though, this current raid loot system is HORRIBLE. You spend so much of your time hoping to get that piece of gear that you need, and when you finally get it, it drops at 310 instead of 320. What it takes to max is absurd, and it's all because they were trying to push the infusion idea (which is fine on paper, but implemented badly). Every time you get gear to drop in the raid, it's actually a 1/11 chance to get what you want. Try doing that with 3 different characters... it gets old very fast.
There needs to be another way to increase the light of raid gear, and this is a good one.
I've got roughly 100 completions of VoG and Crota each. I have all of the gear maxed, and I enjoyed doing it. For kings fall, I'm sitting at 19 completions, and it'll stay that way until something changes.

Thats exactly my point, you need RNG to give you the armor piece you need, and even then it could drop at equal or lower light levels. As you get higher light gear your chances of getting better light gear for that slot drops. Only when you get a 320 light drop does that problem get solved.

Instead of dealing with rng, now we have to deal with double rng. Whoever at Bungie thought this was a good idea should get -blam!-ing fired.
-
3 layers of rng if you care what perks your raid gear has. Though that is ofcourse fixed a bit by being able to infuse.
-
Yeah, infusion helps on this one, but you are correct.

The same person who thought that since a minority population had an overabundance of weapon parts then they should be nerfed. I dont know why they let that fool out of his cage after he thought the cryptarch should give blues for legendary engrams.

Oh yeah the days of the loot cave, when purple engrams had a 1/3 chance of giving you a purple. It took me 4 to get my first legendary. Shit, I think I'd rather have that back instead of the 1/11 chance for what you want out of the raid (that you can only do once per week)
