Not sure what requires "skill". Every response to everything is "doesn't take skill, it's easy"
Think about this:
It's easy for you because it does take skill and you have it. If it's hard, it means they (we) aren't as good and don't have the same level of skill.

Just because something doesn't take skill, doesn't mean it's easy. The truth is that the crucible is like a game of chess. In chess you get players who practice their hole lives from a young age and develop skill. However, the other side of the spectrum is that someone who has never played chess in his life can (if he has the brain power and the will/ability to act quickly) become very performing in chess just by playing smart. So no, skill and smarts are not the same in the crucible. If you play smart and use pre-made strategies you can out-perform someone who is banking on pure gun skill and practice.

I have little skill in pvp..lol. trust me it's smarts and brains that get it done. Also mayhem clash makes it very easy to do.. Look at my KD.. and I got it done in three games of mayhem clash.
