Fallout 4 will be the first Fallout game I have played. Since I haven't touched any of the others I'm not too sure what I'm looking forward to. Basically, the game looks great and since I won't be able to play a new Elder Scrolls game for at least a few years I figure I might as well go with this one. I will admit that I'm a little concerned with how the shooting mechanics will play out. In the ES games it was all swords, shields or crossbows so I never had to worry about it. Other than that one concern, the rest of the game looks very promising.

You're getting into Skyrim with guns, and more humor

Gameplay in the trailers looks very fluid, it should be fine :)

Well, from what I've heard, the gunplay is based off Destiny and the shooting mechanics are based off Doom.

Shooting mechanics were kinda clunky in both 3 and new Vegas but it looks better this time around. Clunky gun handling wouldn't be a major problem for me though

Edited by a clumsy scrub: 10/29/2015 8:28:09 PMLook forward to exploring a wrecked land, truly exploring, no level/mission based exploring. Look forward to going where you want, when you want. Look forward to paying the price for going to the wrong place without preparing lol. Look forward to mysteries. Look forward to an interesting story and deep lore. Look forward to really controlling the flow of things. Look forward to creating a character that really represents yourself, not just visually either. Alternatively, look forward to creating a character that does everything you wouldnt do. Look forward to being confused or lost, but not caring. Its an in-depth world. Kill everyone if you want lol its your choice and you are in control of your character.

See, these are the reasons I loved Skyrim and Oblivion. The huge open world and being able to go wherever I want whenever I want to with the understanding that if I wander into an area that I'm not leveled for I will die a bad death, the amazing story and lore of that world. The only part of Fallout in general that worries me are the weapons. For some reason I'm worried that the guns and such will handle very poorly compared to an FPS. I know that in every other aspect, the game will exceed my expectations but I can't help but hesitate to purchase it because of the types of weapons you have in Fallout vs Elder Scrolls.
