I did actually consider making a new character but the levelling up of subclasses is far more effort than its worth for one sword... thus the request. TBH I think its a pretty good idea, I've spoken to a few people that deleted their legendary sword once they got their Exotic ones and regretted it. Don't get me wrong, if I 'needed it' for something then I'd be forced to proceed with character deletion but if I can get Bungie to see this and think 'not a bad idea' then it would help me out and others :)
