So for the most gear to drop over 310 light should we do hard mode only and ignore normal or normal then hard?

It doesn't matter. Hard mode will give you both normal mode drops and hard at the same time if you haven't already run normal. You don't get extra hard drops.

This is correct. So to Selenophobias question. It would save you a raid doing only Hard. :)
