Fuck Dead Space 1. I completed the other games solo but I sold DS1 after mission 4. I kept wanting to pee every 5 minutes.

Lol I probably jumped 3-4 times when I played ds 1. I usually played it late at night 12-5 AM and it wasn't even that scary.
-
Trying playing it in the same conditions but with stereo headphones full blast
-
I had turtle beaches. They weren't all the way up probably 60% or so.

4 times? What about the pitch black areas and seeing the twitchers for the first time!?

Those were a few spots I got scared. I don't know scary stuff just doesn't scare me much for some reason. This (skip to 7:20) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mwKZ7KqaeI0 was the last thing that genuinely freaked me out. It wasn't scary just sent chills down my back.

We were talking about Dead Space, not Dying Light!!!

Dead Space made you want to Pee often ? Why was that

Edited by Oddball: 10/25/2015 9:27:24 AMOnly Dead Space 1. I hated the scary music, spooky sound effects and claustrophobic environment. In terms of horror, Dead Space 1 is the best however like I said I was so scared that I sold the game lol

Edited by eeeen321: 10/25/2015 9:37:39 AMLoL.... Well, that is why they made them less scary. I hope VG/EA settles on a happy medium where the horror roots are still intact and used, but sell enough games to keep the series afloat. But for fans of dead space 1, when it was supposed to be scary, the move to a more action oriented game was a bummer. I want to be scared shitless, I like the intense isolation and creepy vibe. Sorry, but I wish they would sacrifice some sales numbers to keep the DS series true to the original ds1 creepy creepy vibe. Less action, less people, less light.

Edited by Oddball: 10/25/2015 9:39:11 AMI honestly prefer Dead Space 2's approach to story telling.
To hell with horror, that game gave me nightmares!
But I agree. DS3 should have stuck closer to its roots.

I'm fine with the ds2 approach. That game would represent a good happy medium in regards to horror/action for me. It had less action than ds3 and more creepy ship scares. I loved ds2. Best looking armor in the series so far.
