I love this series too but lately it feels like it's going towards a more action style and I think they need to focus more on keeping it scary. Glad to see another fan.

  • Yea, that is true. I didn't like the shift to action, I would have preferred the old feel hands down, but I still liked the game and played it many times both in single player and co op. By introducing more action into the game, the game theoretically appeals to a larger sales demographic. I don't like that mindset infiltrating the overall design of a game. Bad move for the game every time. After DeadSpace 2, the EA people stressed to VG that "too many people found DS2 too scary" ... Which is why they wanted to scale back the scares/horror. I despise that greedy mindset. Bean counters don't make good games, but they sure can destroy good games. That is the most absurd thing to criticize DeadSpace for. Too scary???? LoL. If anything, I thought the VG people would be excited to scare the fans. I though that's what Dead Space was all about.

  • Same here and watching Isaac die to a bunch of sick and brutal deaths :)

  • LoL! Torturous entertainment. The Tomb Raider reboot had death scenes that reminded me of Isaac. Isaac is the king of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. But at least I could watch those death scenes. During Alien:Isolation, I don't know how many times I quickly looked away from the screen or just quickly reloaded my save. And I like scary games! Not as imaginative as the Dead Space and Tomb Raider deaths, but those Isolation death scenes made me cringe and look away more. Good stuff

  • I never tried the hardest mode. You are not filling me with much hope, lol. I played on hard, and it WAS hard! I couldn't believe there was another mode above it.

  • No ps for me unfortunately. I was JUST talking about this. More PS stuff I want but can't play, while at the same time I play none of the xbox exclusives. All the games I play are multi platform. Makes no sense. Microsoft is lucky I am complacent with change and hesitant to walk away from the controller/console familiarity. This SOMA game, Uncharted series, The Last of Us, and that Until Dawn game looks interesting. Plus other stuff I'm forgetting about.
