The Last Word year one pre-nerf was nicknamed "boom, headshot". The Last Word now is nicknamed "exotic shard".

Why? It's still amazing.

You used to be able to hip fire headshot two rounds to kill somebody. Now even when aiming it's hard to hit them if they are sitting still if they are more than 10 feet away.

That's because it's meant to be a close-range weapon.

So are shotguns. It used to be able to take out anybody running up on you with a shotty now it's effective range is the same as a shotguns so you die

I can usually outgun shotgunners, though. They really aren't a problem.
