Pretty disappointed in this version of the raid TBH. This should have been the normal raid. The heroic (disclaimer: my group disbanded at Oryx after trying it twice) was hard but nothing special. Nothing was added. It's not really any harder except Oryx where the light level massively jumps. They could have added enemies during the ship jumping, so many other things. Was hoping this would keep us busy for a while.

People loved VoG hard but it just added no revives, detainment shields and a couple more Gorgons. I don't understand this community.

Agreed. I watched some streams and was extremely disappointed with the changes from normal to hard difficulty. Had hoped wholesale strategy changes would be necessary, essentially making it a new raid. We were not so fortunate.

Why would you think the hard version of the same raid would essentially be a new raid?

Was hoping a high number of mechanic changes would make the raid feel very different from normal, because each of the fights would feel greatly different. The raids are basically a few boss fights. Hoped each would be greatly changed.

Well you should've known there wouldn't be drastic changes. They already said normal mode was hard mode with a few cuts to make it easier.

They bragged about making hard mode first then dumbing down to make normal. Expected they did more than remove a little thing here or there which is what they did on other raids when they made normal first. Here's to holding on to hope there is a third difficulty. LOL. And I guess there is some sorta dlc in December. It's difficult for them to release content fast enough. So in the near future I'll be doing hard mode to get gear to do hard mode.

I agree, I finished it, but the whole thing wasn't as fresh and exciting as I thought it was going to be, up to oryx the difficulty barely differed.

We're going back for it tonight. Everyone went to get dinner. Oryx is harder but the other levels are just the same but a little more difficult.
