I just beat the sisters on hard mode and another teamate and I didn't get any loot. Is this what we are to expect for completion or is this a bug?

Confirmed, drops are RNG for both normal and hard. I ran both this week and got drops and sisters for normal and hard. It's not a "simple" chest. You don't get anything because you already received your shards drop on normal.

No, a simple chest would entail you only get ONE drop no matter what the difficulty. I got a 305 bond from sisters in normal this week and a shotgun at 314 on hard mode. I said you got nothing, not even shards, because you got shards on normal and RNG didmt give you drops for that CP.

No. That's just rambling. Since the beginning. Simple chest have been normal loot. This is my last post in this topic as anyone who has played since d1 knows.

Thats how you call it then. I call a simple chest the ones you find like I'm the ships area that doesn't give you weapon/armor drops.

Loot is not guaranteed. Except for shards. So if you run normal first and collected all the shards and rng decided at any encounter that you weren't going to get a weapon/armor/class item but only shards. Then you would get nothing.

You didn't get to the chest in time. That happened to my teammate. We all collected loot while he was looking at his inventory. Chest disappeared and he didn't get any loot.

It's probably working as designed but once people complain enough they'll call it a bug in the loot system and promise a fix.

You already beat it on Normal mode, so you didn't get a roll for NM gear. No shards since they're not in HM. You didn't get anything on your roll for HM gear. It sucks, but that's reality.

Apparently anything you get from a chest you won't get in hard mode if you've already done it on normal

So we won't get anything from Oryx either if we did it on Normal?

The glyph and the daughters' chests do have hardmode rolls (even if you've done normal already), but they are not guaranteed drops. So, there will be times when you get two items, one item, or no items. As far as I'm aware, Oryx is a guaranteed drop on hardmode.
