Had the same issue a long long time ago. There's a few people who chimed in as well.
For me, the issue has subsided after a patch from Bungie.

Thank you for response and link! Sadly, this crash occurs with all three of my characters, each of which is a different class. Hopefully a future patch fixes the issue for me..
