Hi casendramars,
Thank you for your report. After some investigation, it appears that you can still infuse Hereafter but the progress bar is not visible on the screen. We have forwarded this information to the appropriate parties.

Here's the screenshot, I pressed the X button but no luck. :'(

Players are reporting that holding down the X button for 10-15 seconds will result in Infusion. Exotic items take longer to Infuse to prevent accidental loss. If this does not work, please submit a video.

After hard reset, cleared cache n followed advice, I finally was able to infuse Hereafter into my 1000 yard. Thank you so very much for your response n your help. So happy it's resolved. :)

Hi- How do you clear the cache? You on PS4? I have the same issue.

I am on Xbox One, but think PS4 should have something similar in setting under network. On xbox we got advanced setting then clear Mac ip aka clear cache....you should also try to hold down the dismantle button for 15 sec like they suggested even u don't see it lol it worked. Good luck too you :)

OMG, Bungie replied. ;) Thank You. And thank you for the info, I tried just pressing X but nothing happened. :/ Is this a known issue? I am going to upload an image once I figure out how to get it up to imgur per Mentor's advise.
