"I Wanna PvP Only!" "I Wanna PvE Only!"

To all those people who despise the Crucible... To all who loathe fighting the armies of the Darkness... You are all fools. It must be this way. It baffles me that some of you do so well in the Crucible, yet you die pathetic deaths against dregs. It astonishes me that some of you tear through the Darkness yet you come out of guardian combat utterly broken and spent. You must adapt. Your words will not change what is. So you must always seek to be more. Do or Die. What will you do?
tl:dr This is Bungie's design for everyone to play PvP AND PvE. It's up to you if you won't try the other. It is intended this way and will not change. What you read above was a sort "Guardian" commentary. Before you ask, yes, I am insulting those "elitists" of PvP and PvE. But not the casuals or those who don't have too much time. To be fair, they really need to get on that pvp lag.
• Any good pvp player can excel in PVE. The opposite statement is not true.

    • The lag ruins this game every match this week against red bar players who take no damage if it were not for the marks i wouldn't bother.

      • Getting good at both will bring you so much more than just doing one. I've profited from the raids, iron banner, and trials of Osiris. I can now get two nightfall rewards a week. More reputation from doing both sets of bounties. More faction packages. Really, it behooves everyone to effectively do both PvP and PvE. They're both in the game so people need to stop trying to invalidate one or the other because of their personal preference.

This is the current problem with Destiny, to get the good gear, to level up and to progress, Bungie forces players to do both PvP and PvE. But, some people only want to one or the other. So, most of us just end up being 'bullet magnets' for a select few who are still playing the game.

        • I'm pretty awesome in PvE. Not so much in PvP. But I'm working on it.

The game was marketed as you can play one or the other with out a negative effect on you if you chooses not to partake in one. But you see bungie MO is to legally lie (use marketing techniques) to people in order to get the money. Why people are pissed is... Well bungie continues to mislead people with promises and claims and seek refuge behind piles of legal disclaimers.

        • Its all fine and good doing both but there really needs to be seperate gear so that niether side can cry nerf effecting the other.

        • In the lore, isn't crucible a sort of training for guardians so they can better fight the darkness. I thought I read it somewhere, not sure.

            • I think the game is currently 80% focus on PVE 20% focus on PVP Which is prob about right

              • I play both but I would prefer if it was even. As it sits, you don't get much rewards out of crucible. No one is going to be Trials ready from playing more crucible than story. Personally, I would just like the option to get the same amount of rewards from doing a strike playlist while doing a crucible playlist. Because the imbalance keeps me away from crucible as I'm always out of weapon parts.

                • Both sides of the game are a ton of fun, but I feel like it's two different worlds. I think they would be better of making two different games, one PvP, one PvE. Put different teams on them, let them grow and change separately of each. But then, I only ever wanted this game for PvE.
