"There's this cool little things our brain does. It creates order in chaos. random noises can sound like words, even more so when you are told that's what they sound like. Bullshit shows like Ghost Hunters feed on this anomaly to convince people that there's actually a ghost talking to them, not just nonsense (ever wonder why centuries old ghosts in germany speak modern day english?) The Dreg did not say "the Darkness" but let's just assume they did.
If they did, which again they didnt, evil is perspective. The -blam!-'s are the evil force because they were the ones we fought against, to them (the -blam!-), we were the evil force stopping them from doing whatever the hell their "this is why we're good guys" thing was.
The Darkness is shown in the Book of Sorrow as a force from Fundament called the Deep by Hive such as Oryx and his sisters, so no we really can't be the Darkness seeing as how they are trying to destroy the Traveler. Yes i firmly believe the Traveler came to us knowing it was chased, knowign it needed an army, but that doesnt mean we're evil. We're fighting forces that would kill us, therefore we're good. The Traveler did bring them to us, but not for the intention of killing us, but for the intention of protecting itself. "proxy army" is one that you mention. This is her stance, this is why she does what she does. No offense, but it's like you read 4 cards and a reddit post at this point.
So for the Black Garden yes they are worshipping, but no they aren't peaceful. As i said it's like you read 4 cards, again in the Books of Sorrow we see that Quria was the Vex mind in control that decided to worship. They stole a Worm, the connection to the Deep, and decided that the Hive God power was what they wanted to obtain. Stealing the Worm, and replicating the Darkness into the Proto-Darkness which is what we fight there, the Black Heart.
The Deep Stone Crypt isnt a Guardian (5 grimoire cards, im sorry) it's in the perspective of an Exo. These were originally machines, entirely made to fight, war machines. But along the time-line, heavily suggested in Cayde-6's Journal, Exos were seeded with HUMAN consciousness.
Fate of Skolas is just going back to the we're evil to them, but i'd like to call you out again on not actually doing your research because it's apparent and as someone who takes this seriously seeing this is like a slap in the face. The Great Machine is mentioned in more than just those areas. Whirlwind wsa the Darkness, and thanks to other Lore pieces it shows it was actually Oryx's brood that caused it. The Eliksni aren't against it! my god how how how -blam!-ing how. This is personal now. THEY WANT THE TRAVELER BACK! PLAY THE GAME AND IT LITERALLY SAYS THIS!
and now you are believing an unknown reddit user. so yea. 5 cards and two reddit posts. I know i come off as a dick, but i feel like i should because this is offensive. I take this seriously, you've likely heard my name because people have actually contacted me asking if YOU contacted me before/after this video. Otherwise i wouldnt have even watched this thing or written this response. Your name carries weight, and that means it's your responsibilty to do your research before posting somehting like this. There are no doubt countless who will just subscribe to this theory because it's you telling them! and to be SO wrong on it too! Honestly i checked the date. I thought this must have been a year old and it's a mistake, there's so much that disproves everything youve said."

Edited by flidd: 10/21/2015 11:50:07 AMAlso can I just point out that inverse shadow says extra super energy from minions of darkness but works on every enemy
-
All enemies of the City are seen as minions of the Darkness, even though they aren't
-
Well doesn't that sort of ruin the theory that the hive are the darkness?
-
The Hive aren't the Darkness, they are the direct servants of it. This is proven in the Books of Sorrow
-
But we were told about the book of sorrow by our ghost which means if the traveller was evil he would hide the fact that he is the darkness? I'm not doubting you lol I'm just saying you know what games are like for changing things in later sequels
-
The Books of Sorrow are written from the point of view of Oryx. He literally says he is a servant of the Deep
-
Yes I understand that but it is translated by your ghost which was made by the traveller...just saying basically don't believe everything you read look at propoganda in war it is used very effectively. All we know in this game is we get revived by our ghost who then doesn't explain anything to us and then proceeded to tell us about how evil everything is except guardians and the traveller..I mean we invaded the cabal and hacked their computer did we even try to talk to them first? That seems a bit hostile for a champion of the light?
-
First off, the Cabal already had a history of being dicks to us. Second, good and evil are not solid facts, they're standpoints. The Traveler gave us a Golden Age, nurtured us, and when the Darkness came, she fought to protect us, as well as creating Guardians; to us, she is good. The Darkness tried to wipe us out and kill the Traveler, who had already proven herself to be good to us; thus we see the Darkness as evil. To the Hive, it's the other way around
-
Yes but what im saying is we don't know that we were told that by our ghost if you just look at what you know as a fact ie We wake up and get chased by the fallen (why are we being chased? because they are evil?) Then we fight them get a ship and make it to the tower. Then we get told by the speaker that we are good blah blah and the rest is evil. How long has the speaker been alive? Who is the speaker? How long have any of the guardians been alive? Do we know? All I'm saying is all the info on the game story is told to us from our ghost or the people in charge if they are in on it we wouldn't know would we? Not that I'm saying it is lol I'm just sat in my office with nothing better to think about lol
-
I am looking at facts. There is grimoire straight from the Traveler's point of view that states her purpose. The Worms state the Traveler's purpose. It is simply to bring Golden Ages to all races, turning the universe into a utopia
-
But that info has come from the traveller. That is not a fact. That is for all intents and purpose propoganda. Look at isis they believe they are doing gods work and the Americans believe they are doing gods work defending against it? Who is right and who is wrong? The victor writes history
-
But there is no victor yet; the war goes on. Both sides say the same thing about the Traveler, so it must be true
-
I get what you are saying but what im saying is both sides of the story still both come through the traveller or his ghosts..so he could be manipulating what we know
-
Who actually wrote the grimore? I don't mean as in bungie I mean in the world of destiny?
-
The grimoire isn't written by just one person. Some are written from an objective PoV, some are written by Rasputin, or the Traveler, Or Toland, or Oryx, or the Darkness, or many others
-
I didn't make the video, I'm sorry you didn't like it or whatever. I'm sorry my facts are wrong. Thanks for pointing this out.
-
I agree with everything you say except for the part about the Traveler saving us from the Darkness. Rasputin did that. The Traveler was going to cut and run on us like it did to those poor eliksni bastards.
-
No, it wasn't. Ghost Fragment: The Traveler 2
-
Ruin Tree I love you
-
And I love you to, random citizen!
-
I do have a name you know....and one I happen to find somewhat clever at that!
-
You are correct as per the current iteration of the story. The whole evil traveler thing probably was going to be the twist in the original version of the story that got scrapped, and what people picked up on in year 1, before a lot of the Grimoire entries you cite existed, were just remnants of the original story that never quite got excised.
