The Traveler has no prejudice, she is not evil. She believes in a utopian universe: where everyone and everything can live equally in a perpetual Golden Age. And so that's what she does. She gives Golden Ages to any race she comes upon. The Hive chase her eternally, because the Traveler's belief contradicts that of the Darkness. The Darkness believes in a ruthless universe, where you must try to kill everything else; if something will not die, it deserves to exist until it does die. Bungie [i]never[/i] says anything outright. They don't have any plans that far ahead. Maybe in the long run, they will decide that the Traveler is "evil" or it may remain "good". But as of now, there is no conclusive evidence to say the Traveler is evil. Let's just discuss something about good and evil real fast. Neither the Traveler not the Darkness is good or evil. Humans are simply the ones slapping labels on them. The Traveler is "good" because it save us a Golden Age, kindled our development, and fought to protect us when the Darkness arrived. The Darkness is "evil" because it tried to end our civilization and our very existence; it was only because of the Traveler that we survived. To the Hive, the Darkness is the good one and the Traveler is the evil one. "Good" and "evil" are all a matter of perspective. To us, the Traveler is good

if the traveler would've went somewhere else the darkness and give wouldn't of came to us so it didn't save us it -blam!-ed us

The Hive and the Darkness yearn for complete extermination of every "unworthy" race. No matter if the Traveler came here or not, they would have come to us eventually. Except then we would have been less prepared: we wouldn't have had the Traveler, we wouldn't have had the Light, or the Warminds, or the Exos, or the Golden Age technology

The Hive wouldn't have stopped until every single race in the entire universe was allied with them or dead. They chase the Traveler, yes. But the Traveler would have stayed and fought in some other system. It would have died/gone comatose there, and then the Hive would have gone along on their crusade. Some would stay in that system with the Traveler, but most would continue exterminating. They would have come to our system eventually, no matter what

So you know exactly when humans would go extinct and exactly when the Hive would arrive in our system?

If they chase the traveler and are universe is infinite if the traveler went the other way I could only assume i would be a few million years before they found us and yes with the way we treat each other im pretty sure a nuclear war would happen

Ok, let's step back and look at the logic for a second. Say the Traveler was evil. Why didn't she kill us right when she arrived in our system? Why terraform our planets and boost our lifespans? Let's assume she was, I don't know, "fattening us up" for the Darkness. Then why would the Darkness try to kill the Traveler? The Traveler and the Darkness are mortal (immortal?) enemies. Their beliefs clash so strongly that the only way one can succeed is if the other is dead. Why would the Traveler work with the Darkness against her beliefs? When you add it all up, it doesn't make any sense. Give me conclusive, incontrovertible proof to back up this outdated theory that the Traveler is evil.
