I live in the UK and I have never seen armed criminal so I have never needed a gun and never will

<implying bad guy needs to have a gun for anyone else to need a gun. Knives. Blunt weapons. Numerical advantage. Size /strength advantage. (Ie large man vs small woman). Position of extreme disadvantage (like being pinned underneath someone trying to bash your head against the ground). Also: [spoiler]guns are fun to have for recreational purposes[/spoiler]
