Wow. You got their attention and I have been complaining about it for a while. You must have done something right. I agree 100%. The game is about becoming a high level bad ass that kicks butt and takes names, but every time we get close, Bungie puts it a little more out of reach and this time, with TKK they made it so you HAVE to do Kings Fall if you want to get there and do it often. Hope it changes. Getting really bored and looking for something else to play that's at least half as awesome as Destiny.

*shocked* You HAVE TO do end-game content to reach the highest level? That's NEVER happened before in Destiny!! No... wait... that's how the game STARTED. It was the case originally (see "forever 29"), then it changed when TDB and HoW came out and we could "buy" our way to max gear level. I'm glad it's gone back to its origins, where even though you're level 40, the highest power must be EARNED through hard grinding and a modicum of luck.

Dude, you've completely missed the point here. Its not about that. Its about the reward system. Read the damn post.

I read both the OP (to which I wasn't responding) and your post (to which I was). OP's appeared to be a complaint about not being able to get all the gear he wanted in 1 and 1/2 months. (NB: If he HAD got all the gear by now, I confidently predict it would have been a complaint about how TTK lacks content and there is nothing to do.) Yours is a complaint about not being able to reach max level in 1 and 1/2 months. You specifically complained about not being able to reach it without doing the raid. Both are interwoven topics, but I was only really replying to you. How do you define
becoming a high level bad ass that kicks butt and takes names
? Because as far as I'm concerned, once you hit 290 Light, that's you. You can solo the Daily Heroic. You can stroll through Heroic Strikes without a single death. You can complete the raid at 290. Feel good about yourself! You made it!! If you have an arbitrary goal of reaching 310 by a certain date, well, you will have to do the raid multiple times and may still be disappointed. But since you still find Destiny "awesome", you must enjoy playing. So I don't have an answer for you other than "be patient and grind".
