Yet people will spend 10 hours a day playing this game and then claim they hate it, what a strange species humans are.

From what I've seen it's the view they need to obtain a certain level or gear. Yes it will take time, but pushing yourself to obtain them will of course burn you out.

Progression is the word. Any game that has some kind of competitive progression will always be addictive.
