No. I see no application for it outside of socialization and lets face it...this game does NOT have it.

  • Are you talking about an inventory wheel? Technically it is just a matter of preference... Even if its just that I PREFER to have one, I think it would make all our lives a lot easier within the game, how could players not want Bungie to improvise a preference, a solution, that makes the game better?

  • Socialization, frankly...this game doesn't REALLY have it. Not what I consider socialization. Sure I can chat with friends or maybe meet somebody in the open world some place...but I can't really socialize with them. Those features are missing from this game. The emotes attempt to bring a social aspect to the game. And it almost does...however, this is merely a novelty item and imo the novelty will wear off. It's a good idea, but it misses it's mark. But only because the game is missing a huge aspect of itself. No clan housing. No group exclusive areas. No chat channels. Mini games. Maybe given time, it might make more sense to me...but I'm not seeing it.

Okay I see what you're saying, yeah I agree. That's another topic that I've posted about on here. There is a fortunate but small percentage of players who meet each other thanks to the Tower, who've managed to become best friends with each other via raiding and achieving Destiny's other greatest challenges. I am fortunate to have found a clan like that. But majority-wise it seems that the social view of Destiny is that you gotta jump on LFG to find people to complete things with, people who are often complete jerks and have the highest expectations for you. It'd be nice for Bungie to find a way to introduce players to each other in a more positive way rather than the negative way of LFG. Whether there is to be an easier alternative or not, it seems like Bungie is currently happy with the social imbalance that the Tower and LFG gave birth to.
