How is swtor these days?
I played back when it launched on and off for about a year and a half. I really enjoyed it but drifted away from it for console games and stuff. I got pretty decent at the swtor pvp but never did any of the high end raiding stuff.
LOVED the storylines. Loved the pvp. But I didn't really like the grinding and side quests.
Each of the updates have extended the story and provided for new exploration. IMHO, TOR PVP was far more limited than I liked. At least in the very beginning, the open world PVP on Illum made for some fun times and mega valor XP.
I'm interested to see how this next expansion plays as far as a new story. I have (4) lvl 60 toons, (3) imperials and (1) rebel, and look forward to seeing what's new.
Each update offers a new grind, but IMHO the grind is far more predictable than a game like Destiny which leaves too much to luck.
It really pays to have a good guild, especially for organizing raids. I'm part of an Imperial guild with a very good rebel sister guild, so for the next month or so it should be pretty busy as people grind away.
Last year's expansion had so many hacks/glitches, that players leveled up really fast and had tons of materials that later became a windfall of credits when they patched the game. I assume this update might be the same, but we'll see. I mention it because it might be worth getting in early versus waiting a few months like I did last holiday season.
I'm on Harbinger if you want to hook up. cheers
Yes, The Old Republic on PC (although I play on a Mac)… A major update is due on 10/27 called Knights of the Fallen Empire, which should provide a couple of months of new content as we'll as a level cap increase.
