I wish that zelda wasn't limited to Nintendo consoles. The game would have so much more potential if it wasn't.

The thing is that Zelda was originally created by Nintendo themselves, it'd become difficult to license to other systems, same reason there weren't any Mario, Metroid, Pokemon, etc games outside Nintendo Consoles, because they were all licensed and created by Nintendo.
