Are you implying the traveler chose us as a 24,000 year plan to end a universe slaughtering race of overgrown krill? I believe that's why the hive are at our doorstep, but I don't believe that's why the traveler found us. As it is, it chose the fallen before us, but then just left, shattering them. It was going to leave us, if rasputin didn't cripple it.
