I vote yes.
But you lose all defense and perk benefits from your helmet if you choose to do so.
Well, if you don't wanna wear a helmet, expect head injuries. Common sense.

I don't really get how so many people seem to think that a "hide helmet" option is me asking to unequip the helmet somehow. It's a purely cosmetic option that just allows a Guardian's face to be visible in combat.
