Streamers who stream as a full time job are lazy and pathetic

I was watching a video of prodigy's were he was showing his new car, I couldn't stand it when he said " I worked so hard for this" and I'm -blam!-ing shouting "NO YOU HAVEN'T YOU HAVE SAT ON YOU FUCKING ASS AND PLAYED A VIDEO GAME !" He has manipulated stupid minds to give this man child money, and then he goes and drives way over the speed limit and land himself with a $1000 fine, which will come out of donations, yet go on his stream and there still throwing money at him and subscribing. All these streamers act like there job is so hard, when it's playing a form of entertainment for hours on end. And expecting people to give them money for some shit incentives. Sorry if I sound butthurt but I think its a bit fucked up... So I can see a pattern... ...there is 4 types of people here: 1.the one who agrees with what I say. 2.the one who says "depends what streamer it is" 3.the kids who are passionate about 30 year old pale men playing video games on camera. 4.the ones who think I'm jealous, so funny, nuff said

  • Is it more work then any other desk job? While I can't say my job is necessarily easy, it's a lot better then when I worked my ass of in college making a little over minimum wage. Who cares what a person does to get by? Ad long as they can take care of them and the ones they love then everything is all gravy baby.

  • I am like you and don't think streamers are worth my time so you know that I do, I DON'T WATCH ANY OF THEM. Its that simple.

  • I mean, I don't think it's anyone's business. They're making money off a hobby, something they enjoy and it's not as easy as you make it seem. Give it a shot, see how far you get. They need people to actually like them, they need to have skill for people to take them seriously, they need to put in many hours into the game, and at the end they do what they want. Haters always hate, focus on your life, if you criticize what others do with theirs, you won't get ahead with your own.

  • You, my friend, have been taken in by Media Magic. It's effortless! It's easy! 1 minute of distributable video doesn't involve hours (plural) of pre- and post-production! The grand trick of being a new media celebrity is HIDING the actual work, and believe you me, they WORK.

    • Someone doesn't seem to understand that a value in what someone does changes from person-to-person. Just because you don't see the point or value in what they do doesn't mean they don't have value to other people. Grow up.

      • Screw him, but you kinda gotta give a lot of streamers props for making a living off of video games.

      • If he were a successful streamer, he'd wouldn't be saying shit. The more successful ones make close to, if not more than 6 figures

          • Making commentary entertaining is a surprisingly difficult thing. Especially in the competitive world of entertainment.

It depends on the streamer. There are some quality streamers who care deeply about their community and aren't in it solely for the money.

            • Yeah I watch streamers but I sure as hell don't donate! I also use ad block so no revenue from me! Why the -blam!- would I donate to someone playing a video game?? Haha and those who justify being a streamer is a real job need to get a grip on reality. That tin foil hat off yet? Great! Being a streamer is not a job. They do not have a defined salary, they survive off donations, and it is not something to be proud of. Needless to say, there are some streamers out there that have real jobs and go on twitch also! Wow amazing right!?

              • They put in commitment, ads, youtube videos, which take time to make, montages, some edit themselves. They make jokes, laugh with their chat. Think of it like a comedian who gets tips. If you don't enjoy it don't watch. Simple as that

              • I think that is just a generalization. There are many streamers who have jobs and stream on the side.

                • Nah I'm more butt hurt about the people that own Wall Street or something as big. They just sit there, they don't bother to stream anything. Those people are lazy >.>

                • It takes a special talent to make it to where these streamers have gotten. I find the talent of the individuals similar to personalities/hosts for radio stations.

                  • Let's be honest, the reason people get bitter about successful streamers is because they hate going to work every day and working hard and knowing that someone is earning more money by doing what the hard worker would rather be doing.
