Personally I think The Traveler and the Speaker are up to no good. What if the traveler destroyed the cabal, fallen, hive, and vex home worlds and that's what drew them to attack earth because that's the heart of true evil.

All we do is go around destroying shit, we're not even satisfied with that, we go back later and desecrate the remains too... Basically... Gaurdians are dicks. We travel the galaxy, breaking into tombs and space libraries, stealing shit, and murdering the inhabitants. Then we're all surprised when guys come to take revenge, and we proceed to do the same to them.
