*Magical space alien wizards and gods, giant space ball that gives magic to people, magical super robot that can phase through objects and resurrect the dead.* Realism left a long time ago, and we basically get one-shotted with headshots anyway. It's not unequipping the helmet, it's hiding it. Cosmetic change only.

Why're you describing Destiny like that? You can make anythibng sound stupid when u intentionally try to make it sound dumb. Humans? No theyre just bags of blood. See? The reason why taking off your helmet is stupid is because destiny is a first person shooter, u need a helmet to fight anyone even "magical space wizaards"

I described Destiny like that to point out how realism in the game is already completely thrown out far beyond the point of "not wearing a helmet is unrealistic" (which is what I said in the second half of the reply, maybe you should read it). If you're desperate for there being an explanation in-universe, there are countless hand-wave explanations that could be tossed out.

That doesnt change the fact that going into battle without a helmet makes no sense regardless of whether itd cosmetic or not. Its retarded.

Edited by Kurodius: 11/26/2015 9:58:40 PMIt's no dumber than "I'm a warlock, so I'll only wear light armor." Robes are not adequate defenses against any weapon.

Wtf r you talkin about. Lol. Theyllnever do this it makes no sense

Having a character creation step making your face, then making it so you can't see it or display it in combat makes no sense. A hide helmet option is standard in any other rpg or mmo. It's not complicated and it's not hard.
