I don't think they're on a crusade against the darkness. I think they conquer, expand and survive. Just because they fight the same enemies doesn't mean they're doing anything good.
Still I like this idea. Lots of things to think about.
Why is it the Cabal can blow up planets but they can't just blow up the dreadnaught? Am I missing something here?

We stopped them from detonating the Dreadnaughts core in the Shield Brothers strike. Because if the core detonated, the resulting explosion would have fried everything from Saturn to Earth.

So...they have to physical place something somewhere for the resulting explosion to work. Not a laser or a nuke or anything like that, but instead an actual ship of theirs. Makes sense. Not very effective though lol.

Yeah lol. But one of my favorite lines in TTK was in that strike. When you see the Dreadnaughts core covered in bombs, and Ghost says " I can't believe they left the core inta-...Oh, bombs. It's covered in bombs."
