I'll say this no matter what game im playing, if you have to use a shotgun to get kills, it just mean you can't play... Shotguns should be ban from online multiplayer on every game. Its why gears of war online is so unbearable.

I would have to say most of the shotgun kills right now are due to the chaperone quest you just need to have it equipped and any other kills counts just inspect the person who killed you if they have last word in their primary slot then that's why.and yes year 1 counts.
