So obviously since your argument is assuming God is real, I'll have to do the same: One, he did it out of anger, which he had every right to do, since he's God. Two, he gave warning to men. Noah preached of the coming flood get none listened. It's not like they never had a chance. Three, the lives these people lived were evil beyond anything we know today, as far as we can tell. Imagine murder and rаpe being a norm to the point it wasn't even wrong to these people. Four, animals have no souls, so why should we care? We kill them and eat them anyways, so why cry only when God does it? Five, God promised to never destroy man as such again, showing he indeed would love us forever.

  • -> The argument could just as well assume that he's a fictional character and still call him an asshole, we call fictional characters assholes all the time (vanilla cryptarch for exemple) -> But he can't be angry, since wrath is a sin and he's perfect -> see Spooky Falchion's reply below. Also "global genocide is ok if you warn them 1st" <-seems legit -> So literally every last person on earth (except Noah's family) was evil ? Even children and babies ? -> No one has a soul, they're a fictional concept. But even supposing they exist and non-human animals don't have them, and that this makes their lives worthless. They still weren't evil, and god is omnipotent so he didn't have to kill them, seems like a pointless dick move. -> As far as I know, the concept of hell and eternal punishment is still relevant in christianity, meaning his "unconditional love" is actually conditional AF, considering the ridiculous list of criteria for entering heaven (taken to the letter it's actually impossible) -> Lastly, as the OP was arguing, god is omniscient, he knows everything, everywhere, everywhen. This means he knew his creations would eventually piss him off and he knew he would do the flood. He got pissed by behavior he knew would occur, done by beings he created. In fact, since he made literally everything, and knows everything in advance, that means everything bad that he gets pissed about is his fault and he knew they would happen all along. That's so stupid it doesn't even make sense.

  • Noah obviously was able to warn every person on earth in a time predating the foundation of ancient Egypt.
