I showed this video to my wife once.
I thought I was hilarious. She said if I ever pulled shit like that she'd divorce me.

Aww wife no fun? Haha
-
She spooks easy. Won't watch Thai, Japanese or Korean ghost movies with me. (American movies she has no problem with though)
-
American horror films are shit.

They've certainly gone downhill. Go back to some of the classics (such as Poltergeist, Night of the Living Dead or The Exorcist) and you can see we once had something. Unfortunately, these days movies tend to confuse "shock" for "fear" and go for the quick jump rather than the slow creeping sense of dread.

Edited by LahDsai: 10/6/2015 2:24:26 AMNightmare on Elm St. was campy, but at least they owned it. The humor suited the character and really made the movies (the earlier ones anyway) the classics they are. It also provided plenty of nightmare fuel (no pun intended) to create a wonderful dynamic. The 80's and early 90´s had some great horror movies (Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Child's Play, Hellraiser, Videodrome, Leprechaun, Critters, Evil Dead, Reanimator, Pet Sematary, Braindead, etc.) and it could be argued as a genre all on its own (or maybe two: camp vs non-camp).

Hellraiser was another one, and I saw a bit of Child's Play, but didn't finish the movie. With Halloween coming soon, this will give me an excuse to watch them. lol
