Yeah I forgot the time every halo game flopped because they lacked a server browser. Dark days indeed.

Big difference with halo because it has such a long time to kill. Bungie also know how to code an online game, the same can't be said about Dice with awful BF4.
Big difference with halo because it has such a long time to kill.
So...you're saying lag would be even more noticeable in Halo? Because the longer kill times means every bullet has to count for more? How does that help your argument? People who played the Alpha didn't report any significant connection issues. If Battlefront has sales issues it will be because of competition--it's the last big name videogame to launch this year so it has a lot of other games drawing from it. But it won't be because of server browser. Console games don't have them and they get along just fine.

A longer TTK means the host server can process data at a slower pace. Halo had lag too, but it wasn't as noticeable as in a fast TTK game. That's why skill based games with a fast TTK such as CS have 128 tickrate servers. A higher tickrate increases the speed a server can update the data. Server Browser has been on console for years with previous Dice games. BF4 was running on 16 tickrate servers when it released because it saved E.A. money. Alpha players has also reported that SWBF is a mess, shouldn't be released in its current state. It's another rush Job from E.A. that is aimed at the casual player base to maximise profits.
