This so hard! Guy with a completed emblem who said he understood the raid had clearly never done glyphs. After 30mins of him dying and telling us we confused him we sat and explained the whole thing to him. We were all baffled and rather angry.
It's fine if you need something explaining, but don't lie.

I've got an example for you. My first raid I started at the Glyphs. They explained to me what to do. But they had me stay in the middle on the circle to clear out adds. So you know what I thought was a raid mechanic the next time I raided? Standing on the circle. Who knows- maybe they had it wrong and thought it was necessary too. But it just goes to show you that people do parts of the raid differently and you really can't expect them to know the correct or faster way even if they've said they've done it before.

He went to the opposite side. He didn't stand on the totems. He didn't swap on the timer. He didn't know what any of the buffs were. He had clearly done none of it...

If you had read my reply, you would say that I had [i]done[/i] it but again they told me to stay in the middle to kill adds. I would have had almost no clue what everyone else was doing. Just citing myself as an example. He could have very well been lying for sure but I'm not gonna rule out him being assigned some odd role like I was

My point was he knew nothing at all of the fight. Like, nothing. That's why I thought he hadn't done it. He didn't ask what we were doing either, so I don't think it was a strat issue

Dude i know how you feel. I can say I'm a vet now when it comes to the raid. And I've done it multiple ways, but every once and a while people do something a completely different way. And they think I'm lying, it's really dumb. There's more ways to do things, your way isn't the ONLY way. Haha totally understand

Yesssss! This one guy I played with said he had his friend complete it on his account. Because he had touch of malice emblem. And he had no idea how to do daughters or oryx. And basically everything else. This is the same guy I was talking about for gaze runner. Salt levels to the max man.
