I've seen people who were bad but they were capping points. Those kinds of people you want on your team, not the ones who ignore control points and allow the enemy team to constantly hold all three.

  • What good are they if the repeatedly die? Ou might have 3 zones but if 1 person on your team is getting kills, I'm 100% sure you'll lose

Uhm no, if you score a really bad k/d, but captured a few control points, then thats still a bad player. You can easily win with only one controlnode, for example. But not if you have a team of idiots who constantly run off to capture a point, die, and lose the point. K/d is still very important in control

  • I didn't say the people who do nothing but die and capture points. Those are not going to help you, I meant the people who die a little bit but focus on point capturing.

  • Anyway, you should always strive for at least a positive k/d, whether you are capturing or not, otherwise you are just a burden to the team.

  • Every elitist pvper ever: "got 50 kills in control and we still lost! My team was shit" <- did not spend one second on a control zone.

  • If you got 50 kills in control, you are already almost singlehandedly winning the game, even if you dont have a single node...

  • Not if the enemy team has 2-3 points capped and gets a decent amount of kills. Again you get more points per kill based on how many points you have captured.

  • Those people amuse me so much. I see them a lot too, they have a great KDR but close to no captures. The more points you hold the more points you get per kill. Simple math people.

  • What's better: three people standing on the same capture point including the best player, or two people standing on the same capture point and the best player out getting kills and protecting the people capturing?

  • Agreed. It's annoying as -blam!- as I tend to play control whenever I play PvP. There's always one-two people trying to boost their KD and won't actively or objectively play the game.
