OP, why do you seem so ready to jump on people for just saying fusion rifles were godlike at one point?

This post has been around for 4-5 days and we've had some great discussion regarding this weapon and some other Year 2 weapons, but for some reason, tonight (in the matter of an hour or so?) 5-6 people jumped in the thread to laugh and declare that I was never around when fusion rifles were godlike. It's not the mention that they were godlike, it's the presumption that I've "never experienced fusion rifles." Not sure where that's coming from as I've been playing since beta. Where is this coming from? How is it even relevant? Can we not appreciate this gun? The Vortex is a perfect fusion rifle, perfect stats, it's practically a gift from Bungie. It would've been the top fusion rifle in Year 1 at launch and the top fusion rifle throughout the rest of Year 1, just like it's the top fusion rifle now. But no, let's continue to talk about how fusion rifles are meaningless now because they were really good at launch and will never be that good again. -blam!- off.

Who gives 2 shits if they think you're new or not? They are merely commenting on you saying the year of Fusion Rifles is here because that already happened in Crucible and if you don't want them to say that then say some crap like "Fusion Rifles are making a comeback in Crucible" idk

I get what you mean, and that's unfortunate. But on topic, it looks good. I think fusion rifles are in a pretty good place, which is great. More variety is always better, though plenty of people are still holding on to their Felwinters and the likes.

Not sure what happened. I think in 2.0 they bumped the accuracy of fast charge fusion rifles, which made things really fluid and just perfect for this gun. I've seen more people using them too, which is a nice change of pace. :)
