The forums have always been limited if you hadn't played Destiny. As far as I knew, you could only post in #help if you hadn't played. I'm not sure it's behind a paywall though, because i would guess that playing the demo would open up the other forums. Also, WoW does this as well. You can't post in general discussions there unless you have an active subscription.

It's just the fact that it's been open to everyone for so long and now it'll be Destiny players only, it's bullshit. I really don't think Bungie planned for the demo to allow access to the forums.
