This seems to be happening to a lot of people. For one, did you check to make sure that you guys had room in your inventory? I hear that if you don't have room, you don't get the drop. I think Bungie should address this issue, considering it pertains to a challenging end-game content.
It's discouraging to hear these stories because I barely find time to play, so I'm afraid if I do complete the raid, I'll face the same issue.

I got 2 primaries on my first completion week 1. The scout filled my inventory but the auto still showed up but stayed in the chest until i made room. Funny thing is i was there when the chest dropped, opened then ran around the map like an idiot, ran by chest and it tried to give me something else. And i was like hah i got another drop bitches! And the fireteam ran back to the chest like they all had another.

i really think postmaster should come into play for filled inventory.

I agree. It defeats the whole purpose when it doesn't. Or they should make the raid loot drop at the end of the raid instead of in the form of engrams. It's a very poor design considering how little room they give us in inventory. Yes I know there's more room in the vault but inventory fills up quickly during a raid.
