And to the people calling for nerfs, can we please talk about a constructive way to balance the class without destroying it. Many seem to want the class to be completely ruined because of it being OP in some aspects right now.
People don't know how to do that in here. Hence why as far as I'm concerned, the balance hashtag needs to be done away with, and any cries about nerfing need to be squelched. All of this incessant whining is destroying the game for everyone, and it's only coming from a vocal and obnoxious minority of PvP scrubs who can't make the cut, or think that their arbitrary KDR entitles them to dictate how everyone plays their game.

  • The travel time is little faster than nova bomb, but less blast radius. Titans should be a tank class, but a simple solution is to limit the throws like golden gun. If GG had their super energy as the only timely figure and can shot until energy runs out, it would be considered op, but 3-4 shots and short time for super with no dmg resistance offers many counters. The sunbreaker lasts longer than GG, has huge dmg resistance, has more than 3-4 hammer throws, has short travel time, but combustion perk makes up for that, and has the ability to heal. I understand bungie wants to make the new subclasses desirable, but taking away the weaknesses of other classes and giving all the benefits seems a little unfair?

  • Again, according to this forum, everything that people die to seems "unfair". That why half of the game has been nerfed to shit in terms of weaponry, and you're coming after subclasses now? If you can't play, then get out. Sunbreaker can barely survive a single Golden Gun shot, and if they miss their hammer, they're screwed. How about instead of destroying yet another aspect of the game, we buff the ones that have been destroyed already?

  • Yes if they made all supers all powerful like the sunbreaker, then it wouldn't be a problem. The reasoning behind the complaints have valid points. Bladedancer was nerfed week 1 due to it's high dmg reduction, but it wasn't so weak that it made it useless.

  • This game has zero balance. It's not because of the way it was made, but what it has turned into; the vocal minority has dumbed down many of the aspects of this game. Destiny is no longer what it should have been: A fun shooter with amazing weapons to collect. The constant nerfing has made too many of those weapons mediocre to ouright worthless, so how people can call this balance is beyond me. When I came into Destiny, I was not expecting perfect balance. I expected this game to be a total shitstorm between Supers and Exotics. Now, it's turning into just another Call of Duty clone.

You're not going to get balance out of this game, at least, not in the carbon-copy sense of Halo. The reason why? Weapon Tiers. Why have different rarities of weapon, if all of the weapons are just going to be the same thing? According to this forum, anything that kills them is OP, and by that logic anything that kills them must be nerfed into the ground. We have different weapon rarities, because some guns are going to be more powerful than others. It's a simple fact: The guns aren't all the same thing, yet everyone has the same method of getting those weapons. Also, I reiterate: Balance does not equate to everything being nerfed into the dirt. What we have right now is a classic case of bandwagon syndrome: One or two weapon categories dominate, a small and insignificant amount of people become loud and obnoxious, those weapons get nerfed, then the same people gripe about the next weapons that everyone jumps on. Balance happens when all weapons fill their respective niches. I'm sorry, but slow firing, slow charging weapons do not have a niche within shotgun range, and no amount of nerfing anything is going to change that. If Bungie had been smart, instead of nerfing Auto Rifles and Fusion Rifles into the dirt, they would have brought Hand Cannons and Shotguns up to compete with them.

  • The weapons are far from okay. When four classes of weapon only work within optimal shotgun range, and kill in twice the amount of time, that's not balance. I haven't bought TTK yet. I'm afraid to, and it's because of the incessant bitching in these forums, along with this toxic minority that cannot keep their mouths shut and play. I don't want the weapons I bust my ass to get, to be utterly wrecked because a few spineless blobs can't make the cut in PvP.

  • i agree with the lack of gun counter play, but the topic at hand is the new titan subclass and its clear problems....im not here to discuss weapon nerfs.

  • Can't become Legend if you are balanced. Just saying.

  • I was responding to the balancing debate which appears to be to make the game like COD. Other than that I can't explain it any clearer.

  • So how do you propose balance? You saw with trials and crucible what happens when people use the same 2 weapons

  • I wasn't, that was my point, but since you asked and I'm sort of awake now....... While I am no expert at all in PVP, there will always be players who get down to the data no matter how small and find the advantage. Destiny wasn't supposed to be balanced if you look at it from day one. Even when mayhem came out, some were screaming for nerf etc., when the whole point was to go crazy with supers etc., People are used to COD type games. It's that plain and simple. In those PVP they know exactly how everything works and when it doesn't for them, come up with other excuses like hearing "MODS!" yelled through my son's headphones. You can't become legend if everything is the same. You just can't, and as a barely mediocre player of PVP even someone who doesn't use a weapon to kill you will have someone say nerf something about him. Lag switchers, that's another topic all together. I agree Bungie can't seem to balance anything, and I believe it's so people will have to keep grinding regardless of the type of play to find that one nitch lucky moment to get what they want or are after.....gambling basically. I always said if I made a game, I would have both balanced and crazy. But balanced, just like in Halo that everyone uses for their side of the debate requires less gun types and abilities. You can't have balance without it. You would also have to team people up based on wins/losses etc., and there again it's still just an average. Only in a fully supervised tourney where players were on a supplied console/machine, paired by KD or win/losses would you see "balance" in any sport or game unsupervised otherwise. Then it comes down to who really is good, and the person who plays more with smaller hands than say myself, will probably win. Should I nerf his hands? ;) There are plenty of PVP experts out there, but it almost always comes down to: -there is no way he got me -(losing) all they are using is "" and everyone knows it's OP. -MODS! ;) Never in most cases is it, "man, I was slipping that guy got me good, good for him" It's never going to be balanced completely, and in Destiny I think everything should be crazy in PVP to allow for more growth of talent, develop better and newer skills, and find your own combination. Old Badger,
