Does everybody else forget one of the very few other badasses that are cooler than us, the player, in this game barely even has sleeves, let alone the helmet?
The Stranger. Yes. Her. No damn helmet.
Something she can do, that I for some reason can't?
I want it. Why can I not have it?

FINALLY SOMEONE MENTIONED THIS! but it's not only her that doesn't wear a helmet, there's another exo and it's the one you get the nightstalker bow from.
-
Stranger only appears in person on the planets with atmosphere, but many npcs don't have helmets. Also No point in making cutscenes to have them wearing helmets
-
She's arrived on Jupiter, and the Moon respectively. Neither of which have atmosphere, and both of which had her in the same cutscene and place as you, while you had a helmet and she didn't.
-
Well youre not going to take your helmet off there's already plenty without it and it wouldn't make sense. Where do you get Jupiter? I do remember her in the distance on the moon now but then it's still just a trope of games. You don't hide the face of an npc only seen three times.
-
Remember? Ishtar acadamy? First vex mission? "Little light", the whole sphiel. Besides, I'm an exo dammit, I don't need air!

Edited by Kone19ps: 10/7/2015 10:22:11 PMVenus not Jupiter...one isn't even in the game. But he does need intact shields and armor.
-
Jupiter is a planet that appeared in a Destiny trailer at the Activision booth at E3 2013. Jupiter does not appear in the Director, but it appears on the Star Chart in the Limited and Ghost Editions of Destiny.
-
They already said that was the framework of Titan, Europa, and the dreadnaught. Not Jupiter as a visitable planet
-
go and pull out where i said it was a visit-able planet
-
DAMMIT I meant venus. And *she* can have an invisible helmet. You're telling me we have cloaking tech and can't cloak our helmet? xD
-
Cloaking is refraction off an object. It doesn't make things transparent
-
I'm relatively sure our cloaking only looks like a large ball of shimmering light is so we ourselves can see it. :S
-
Edited by Kone19ps: 10/8/2015 1:23:23 PMThat's just how light works man. You either refract light around an object to cloak or you project new light using a smart system that has to match the surroundings. Those are the options and both require a helmet. You could have a material that changes density or is normally clear to show through but destiny hasn't made that.

Not Jupiter, venus

I wholly disagree that she is cool, but that is a good point.
