You're* It's a "hide helmet" option, not an option to just no wear it. Every other MMO has this option, it's not hard. Keep the stats, just don't show it on the character. It's about as stupid to not wear a helmet as it is to wear robes in combat like Warlocks do. If you want to go full realism, every class should be wearing heavy armor and every vendor in the tower should give you the best armor they possibly can instead of needing reputation or something since Guardians are the only things keeping the Darkness from killing everything. We're playing a "shoot the aliens with space magic" videogame, invisible helmets probably won't shatter the world.

No armor on face would realistically mean any gun one shots you in the head. The helmet is for armor in combat.
