Perhaps having a three of coins active while turning in the engrams to rahool may have an effect?
Perhaps having the coin active will enable it to randomly drop from a particular enemy such as a cabal major?
I'm starting to think the coin does more than activate über enemy exotic drop chance.

I clearly suggested that it's a possible unwritten side effect if it would do anything at all. It was intimated to us that we were not "using it right", perhaps there is a secondary use to which we are just not being clearly informed.
