The steps are as follows collect 1 calcified fragment to get Shatter Past quest which you collect 5 more Calcified Fragments. Then once you get 15 Calcified Fragments you get the Hunger pangs first mission step which is a heroic version of The Promethean Code mission with a few more enemies. Once you collected 30 Calcified Fragments you get the second step of hunger pangs mission which is the undying mind strike with a major that spawns in during the boss fight(take friends as its not match making strike). Once you collect 45 fragments you get the last step of the hunger pangs mission which is Fears Embrace with a taken wizard that spawns when the Echo of Oryx is low on health. Then you also need to finish off the Old Hunger quest which involves killing the Warpriest, death singers and oryx(basically finish the raid). Then you need to collect wormspore , weapon parts and hadium flakes( about 25 for wormspore and weapon parts and 50 for hadium flakes). By completing all these steps gives you Touch of Malice.

I have it and it's amazing for the oryx part of the raid. I was just using it when I was in the aura to stagger and damage him. That touch of malice perk works wonders.

Thanks for the info. I'm close to 45 fragments but the problem is finishing the raid. I haven't beaten Golgoroth to get the next 2 fragments( which is all I need to get) and finish the raid.

How tough is the undying mind strike? I'm probably gonna have to do LFG for it considering none of my friends have even finished the raid yet
-
It's soloable, you don't actually have to finish it just damage the boss until it spawns.
-
So the point is just to kill the major that spawns then I can leave?
-
Pretty much I killed it and it completed the quest.
-
Good to have a second at least.
-
Not that tough if you and your friends are leveled for it. I think the strike is 260 if I remember correctly. I haven't even beaten the raid. I'm stuck at Golgoroth!
-
Ah ok well I guess I'll be going for that tomorrow then thanks. And just keep at it! Golgoroth is a huge pain in the ass
-
Yeah, I only got his health down to 30% before we wipe.
-
Thank you for giving me the answer

Edited by DragonLord745: 9/28/2015 12:40:30 AMYou welcome. The only problem is keeping track of which ones you have. You can use destiny ghost hunter and select Dreadnaught after you input your game tag. Then Reddit has a page with YouTube links with all the known fragments and what to do to obtain them. Most of them are easy. You do have to do a few things fro specific fragments. Here's the Reddit page https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/3lb4oo/calcified_fragments_sorted_by_location_and_videos/

Thank you so much

Also the fragments are linked to your characters and not your account. So do it on one character and make sure you do the raid on that character too.

Ok awesome
