I too am having ridiculous loot repeat drops. 3 of the 4 Primary Exotics I've gotten were Suros Regimes, and the 4th was a Monte Carlo, which I already had a blueprint for. I've also receive the same helmet for 2 of 3 Exotic engrams, and the same sidearm 3 out of 5 legendary special weapon engrams.
For a system that was supposedly revamped and reworked so that you don't receive the same items repeatedly, even after their constant chatter about it, it has failed fantastically.

You do realize the loot system is not for exotics. Exotics are now meant to be earned through quests so you can bet that Bungie is not going to let you abuse the three of coins to get around quests. People complain about how random exotics are an when bungie actually makes it quest based they complain that they can't randomly get them all in a week.

You do realize that engrams, be they rare, legendary, or exotic ARE part of the loot system. Engrams are loot. And I did no abusing, nor farming of coins, I used them one at a time on strikes, as they intended as their latest hotfix shows. I also am experiencing this in great deals of legendary engrams, repeatedly receiving the exact same item. Bungie in the weeks and months before TTK raved about their new loot system and how it would NOT give repeated multiples of the same items like the system had in the past, giving you things you don't have, not things you already do. They explicitly stated this numerous times, and again fell short. And in regards to your somewhat personal attack about complaining about not getting everything in the game in a week, I've spent over 600 hours in the game, pre TTK doing numerous raids, strikes, exotic bounties, etc, earning everything I finally got from rng. My only complaint is what they not only promised, but bragged about, this new smart loot system, is not actually smarter. Yes you get a ridiculous amount of engrams, and from that based on pure statistics of course you get different items, but this is NOT a smarter system.

If you are at 300 ish light the loot system begins to ga begin because the loot system cannot gir you gear above raid gear I and many people I have spoken to about the system say that on there way to 300ish before raising they experienced loot drops that progressively increased there light slowly

My comment had absolutely nothing to do with what level light the gear is that you receive. Did you even read my statement? My only gripe is that bungie promise a smarter more efficient loot system that knew what you've already received and would no longer as in the past, give you the same item again, and again, and again. But as I am receiving 2 or 3 or 4 of the same item, but not receiving any different items, a problem for most people in the game, their system is not working as repeatedly promised.
