There were 2 factors;
First week nightfall bonus +25% rep gain
Second week he had 4 new weapons available from Tuesday reset til his own Wednesday reset.
I'm not rank 3 yet either but that's how it happened for some folks

This. That's how I got rank 3 on my titan. Wishing I wasn't lazy and did it on all 3 now though. Especially on hunter because that ace of spades...

I wish I'd had time! I picked up the weapons from him, but just couldn't get online enough. Ace of spades does look amazing! Looking forward to getting it
