No...It does not work at all. It just wasting strange coins. Better buying engram or Exotic from Xur.
Wasting 20 coins in regular and heroic strikes...none.
I got TLW 2.0 from last week NF, I used the ToC but it was on activity reward..not from engram and I already have the gun...so basically I got an exotic shard.

They drop from the nightfall as your rewards screen reward... it's amazing.

LOL, please reread what I wrote. They drop as nightfall rewards, i.e, o n the results screen, instead of 10 coins or a 270 legendary... you can get a 3 of coins 5 pack. My two nigthfalls this week were BOTH 3 of coins... i bought 30 this weekend and still have a ton of coins, would rather have 10 strange coins versus 7 strange coins used for me, with a 3 coin handling fee.
