Because golden gun beats defender bubble, and fist of havoc beats blade dancers. Hunters ( the class with the most clearly OP pvp supers since launch) whined and complained about FoH so much (despite their supers being far more unfair) that Bungie made sure their new super trumped the new Titan Super.
Incidentally, I had HoS active the other day and ran into a storm caller. I hit him dead on with a hammer, and before I could throw another his lightning killed me.
In other words, the new "OP" Titan super loses to the other supers.

You lost to a Stormcaller whos super is specifically designed for short ranged AoE. You stated you ran into a stormcaller. Your super is clearly at an advantage from a ranged position. Even if you are in close range, your melee should have been priority right? Correct me if I'm wrong but Sunbreaker super gives Titan melee a huge damage boost (one shot?).

It's not a one shot while in stormtrance I believe. Definitely fast enough to do 2 before dying though.

Pretty sure hammer of sol wrecks storm caller. I miss a hammer and still killed a storm caller.

You could also do a little thing called using the effective range of your super instead of trying to point blank a storm caller. It's not op, you're just stupid.

Defender Titans have a suppressor grenade that wipes out any active super or prevents you from activating one, just a lil fyi
