Anyone know a way (besides field test weapons) to rank up like 100 points? I'm < 100 away from Gunsmith rank 3.

Do some quests. For some, you have to do stuff for Banshee-44 which increases your rank.

If you get him to rank 3 you get an exotic quest for what class you're using.

As SmilingPhases said, hand in the fusion rifles that drop. They don't only drop from bosses though. I've had them drop on patrol on venus from a regular vex gob, and from a lvl 8 acolyte while I was doing a vanilla story mission for an abandoned quest. Seems totally rng. Just go play
