Yea master race...love paying for graphic cards that are worth more than a console. More like dipshit race.

I have a $500 dollar graphics card. If I met you in person, I'd like be friendly to you. I have not once jumped on the master race bandwagon. Would you still be so brazen if you met me? Would you still be keen on making silly generalizations?
-
I'm extremely friendly in person you wouldn't even recognize me by the personality on here but I haven't made any silly generalizations.
-
I liked it till the end. Longevity is the game, and premium hardware achieves it.
-
You don't need that much money for a graphics card. You could make due with a 200 dollar or less one for most games.

Edited by Kankunation: 9/24/2015 4:22:14 AMYes , because approximately $200 (taxes included ) is definitely more than a $400 console.
-
200$ LOL no sorry I buy cards from 2015. Not 2010.
-
Your point? It's still about $200 for a more than decent card. Sure, you could always spend more, but that's not required.
-
Yeah but unless you are going to go with top end, what's even the point? May as well go with a console.
-
Everybody has their reasoning. Some people just like the experience better on pc and could care less about amazing graphics. That's one of the good things about pc gaming, you can always improve your experience. I doubt most PC players spend over $2000 for the best stuff, at least not in the beginning. What the OP has is more than enough to last him a good while with more than decent graphics.
-
Well I've always maintained that the one nice thing about a PC is that you can slowly buy new parts over time, so the machine is constantly evolving to meet the requirements of newer and newer software. The initial cost can be expensive, but you can play for a very long time before you need an "overhaul". I stick mostly with console because I like the games. And while more and more titles are being ported to PC, they still don't have all the ones I want.
-
Fair enough. For me, the reason I still play consoles is for friends. Its much more convenient gaming with friends on consoles, and most games are built with this in mind. If not for the fact that I have a regular group of real life friends to play with, I would probably stick exclusively to PC, mostly mmos or survival games.

I remember way back when Ultimate online came out. The idea that you could achieve some type of "fame". It fell short of what I thought it could have been, but for the longest time, only PC's could do all the online stuff
-
Why? Even the lowest end apu system will outperform s console for the same amount of money.
-
Yeah but if it's the same amount of money, all the extra work, maintenance, the performance isn't THAT different. My point is that unless you are going to go ultra top end, just buy a console and save the sweat. There's no doubt that PC's perform better, but at that low of a level, why bother.

Cheaper(up to 80%) games, smoother frame-rates, the freedom of an open platform, no subscription to play online, and many many more reasons, the list could easily go on forever.
