I suppose that they just count numbers. How many bought the expansion. I believe that someone from them, takes a look in these forums every now and then, and provides some feedback back to them. For sure, they know now, that many people here are disappointed. It is in our hand, to unite and spread the word and inform these customers that are unaware of this policy. Take as an example, the new customers that do not know about this strategy. If I was in their position, I would like to have this information. It would help me to avoid investing in a game, that will be rendered vaporware as soon as I stop buying their optional (mandatory???) DLCs.
